North Carolina Women # 15 walk past Virginia Tech, 71-46

CHAPEL HILL, North Carolina
Eva Hodgson knocked down 4 of 5 3-point attempts and Deja Kelly scored 15 points and took 10 rebounds as the No.19 North Carolina rebounded from his first loss of the season to rout Virginia Tech, 71- 46 Sunday.
The Tar Heels were lagging from the start in their 72-45 loss to No.5 North Carolina State on Thursday, but against the Hokies they took control early and took a 35- lead. 17 by intermission after giving Virginia Tech just seven points in the second quarter.
Hodgson finished with a high 19 points off the bench and Kelly hit 3 of 6 over the arc and went 4 for 4 from the free throw line. Alyssa Ustby added 13 points and distributed six assists and Anya Poole contributed 12 points and eight rebounds.
North Carolina (14-1, 4-1 Atlantic Coast Conference) shot 28 of 64 from the field (43.8%), including 8 of 18 from distance.
Virginia Tech (11-4, 3-1) struggled offensively, converting just 18 of 58 (31%) on the field, including 4 of 24 from a distance. Hokies 6-foot-6 post Elizabeth Kitley struggled to score 14 points to lead the offense and picked up 17 rebounds, giving her 35 boards in her last two games.
